ABOUT DSS

Forged through years of riding, digging, and building trails together, Dead Sailors Society was shaped by both the highs and the lows that got us here. From frothing on shuttle laps, to getting drenched on rain-soaked descents, sunburnt while carving new lines, or launching ourselves into the air thanks to an unexpected snake encounter — it’s all part of the story.

We saw an opportunity to bring our artistic and creative talents together and simply have fun within the bike riding scene. DSS exists for a good time. We keep things loose, don’t take ourselves too seriously, and aren’t afraid to take the piss — especially out of ourselves.

Our work speaks for itself, with collaborations spanning national and international brands including Street Plant, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, Universal Studios, Scram Skateboards, Arrow Wheels, Little Black Bike, Restless Longboards, the NBL, Adelaide 36ers, Adelaide Lightning, and Adelaide Thunderbirds, to name a few.

At its core, DSS is about creating comfortable, high-quality riding gear backed by killer art and bold design. We hope you love what we do as much as we love making it.

THE PROCESS

We run our shop using two purchasing options.

We hold a limited amount of stock and sell what’s available at the time. Alongside this, we also offer a Back Order option, allowing customers to purchase any of our items online even when they’re not currently in stock. This approach may be different from most stores, but it means we only manufacture what’s actually ordered — reducing waste and doing our part for the planet.

For back-ordered items, there is an approximate 3–4 week turnaround, covering everything from purchase through to manufacturing and delivery. While we can’t always guarantee this timeframe — particularly for international orders or during busy holiday periods — we’ll always do our best to meet it. We believe in being upfront and honest about how it works.

PLEASE ALLOW 3–4 WEEKS FOR ALL ORDERS TO BE MANUFACTURED AND DELIVERED, UNLESS THE ITEM IS IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP OR MARKED AS SOLD OUT.
